About 6 PM tonight, my neighbor's house two down from us caught on fire. It was a VERY fast moving fire. It started on the back deck and quickly spread to the house. It is a total loss to them. They have been our neighbors for almost 40 years. My dad worked with the husband at the same company until the both retired. The lady neighbor is very sick with a brain disorder. I stayed with her for 3 hours while her husband was trying to take care of so many things.We had the fire departments from three fire districts here to fight this fire. It is so sad. I watched with tears as they carried out the family friend. They lost their dog in the fire. If you think of it, pray for the the Buckholz family. It is so very very sad! It really was only by God grace that they made it out of the house. My neighbor was mowing the law (which should have been mowed last night by his son) saw the fire and kept banging on the door until the husband came to the door. He did not know his house was on fire since he was in the basement and his wife was sleeping. They all made it out of the home safely. It just is so very very sad!
